Brevard High students are beginning to set the stage for their 2025 prom.
Between picking out outfits and making date plans, prom has become the hot topic among many juniors and seniors. BHS’s junior prom planning committee began meeting Jan. 30 during I&E to finalize the date, pick times and begin thinking about themes and decorations.
Prom will be held at 8 p.m. April 5 and last until 11 p.m. at Brevard College’s Porter Center. The theme has not been finalized yet, but the BHS juniors are working hard to choose one that will shape the special evening.
“We were thinking of doing a New York Night Party theme, with disco balls and big city lights to light up the dance,” said BHS junior and prom committee member Ella Burdette.
Brevard High has been hosting prom for many years. It is known to be a significant event and a celebration that brings together upperclassmen to honor and celebrate the seniors before graduation.
Students planning to bring a guest from another school district can pick up a permission form in the front office. They must be returned by March 28 for consideration.
