Braden Boswell is a sophomore and student athlete at Brevard High who plays on the men’s tennis team. It’s a sport he wants to continue growing in.

“I plan to possibly attend college at UNC to play tennis,” he said.

Boswell had a match March 5 against Hendersonville High and said he did really well, but it was his toughest match so far. The game started with him losing the first half 4-6. In the second half, Boswell won 6-4.

It came down to breaking the tie, so they played again and the final score was 11-9, with his opponent taking the win.

Boswell said he felt good after the match, just disappointed and upset that the wind and weather made it a harder game.

Boswell said he also “feels good about this season and looks forward to rematch him again.”

Teammate Luke McLaughlin said about Boswell: “He’s a good player and I see more potential in him as the season goes on.”
