The NC Mountain State Fair has made its way back to Fletcher and began Friday, Sept. 5, lasting until Sunday, Sept. 14.

Brevard High FFA members, and the neighboring members of Rosman High, will team up to hold the Moo-ternity Ward this year. The students are at the fairgrounds taking care of heifers expected to give birth during the fair, answering visitor questions and getting free time to explore the fair.

In charge of the students are ag teachers Dan Harris and Sarah Clayton. The students are expected to arrive at school at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 and take a bus to the fair, and will be back at the high school around 10 p.m.

“This is a great opportunity for students to learn about animals and to help others learn as well,” said FFA officer Kayson Toole. “You don’t wanna miss it.”
