Brevard High wrapped up Homecoming week with a pep rally Friday afternoon in the gym to celebrate all fall-sport athletes and kick off the night’s football game against North Henderson High.
The pep rally included performances from the cheer squads, band and color guard. Senior Karter Macfie was named Homecoming King, and a musical chairs game was held with students and staff. Teachers crashed the cheerleading squad’s performance with a flash mob.
The pep rally ended with the fight for the spirit stick. Each grade is separated into different sections of the bleachers, and they are challenged to see which grade has the most school spirit by yelling a chant about BHS. The loudest section receives the highly valued spirit stick.
The football game begins at 7:30 p.m. and the Homecoming Queen will be announced at halftime.
