In March at Brevard High, the choir and band programs performed for a panel of judges during a performance assessment called MPA, or “music performance adjudication.” I attended the MPA as part of the BHS Concert Choir.  

The Brevard High choir performed “Rosas Pandan,” composed and written by Domingo “Minggoy” Lopez, and “A Boy and a Girl,” written by Eric Whitacre.

Music teacher Charles Burchill taught his third period class both songs and on March 10, they were performed and earned a “mid excellent” assessment. The BHS Wing Symphony received a “superior” rating.

Overall, Brevard High did very well and I can’t wait to participate in the years to come!
