Oxendine is new to BHS this year, and she works primarily with seniors and juniors on college applications. One of her goals is to help students further their education.

Two obstacles she sees students facing are funding and finding an opportunity to tour colleges.

So far this semester, the response to college advising has been “overwhelmingly positive.”

“I love working with y’all. It’s been fun,” she added.
